My Journey

 

The brief of this project is to create an artefact that promotes myself and my knowledge / reflects / share insights and learning that I have gained through my Communication Design course at RMIT.

I have decided to go with promoting myself and my knowledge, thus I used eggs to represent that as it is one of my favorite food and it adds a unique personal touch to my artefact too. Apart from that, there are many outcomes of an egg such as fried egg, scrambled egg, and soft boiled egg. The outcome of an egg depends on the process and how it has been prepared. However, the very first stage after the chicken lays the egg will forever be same - delicate, raw and in a liquid state. 
 
I feel that was a true reflection of how I am feeling 2 years ago when I just graduated from Polytechnic. Young and fresh without any relevant work experience. I feel small, delicate and lost. So I went on a hunt for a job. Through working in different companies for 2 years, I grow and learn along the way. Finally, here I am now, taking a degree in Communication Design. I am proud to say that who and what I am now is the outcome my 3 years journey and the choices I have made. The people that have guided me along the way (be it people who are from the creative industry or not), the intense pressure to succeed at a given task, exposing myself to new experiences like photography and of course, learning more about myself through this course.

There are 3 stages to my journey which is fresh, roasting and done stage. Each stage will be accompanied by a story and to make it more impactful, it will be narrated in a 2nd person point of view.
